Blogs are nice but essentially a cargo cult. It is really easy for an organisation to decide to do one without thinking through the purpose of the blog and the outcomes that the organisation wants to achieve. The biggest risk to any business is to have a blog without being a blogger.
- Never conceptualise the thoughts and ideas in a blog as ‘content’.
- Blogs are by definition works in progress.
- Blogs are for sharing thoughts, advice or getting feedback.
- The best blogs are those which raise questions.
